Professional Golfers on Twitter

We are in the new age of technology in which one in fourteen people in the world has a facebook account and people's cyber friends could be people which they've never even met before. Twitter is another social networking site which works on the basis of putting status' or 'tweets' with information, photos or videos.

Professional golfers have latched onto this and regularly update their followers with their whereabouts including photos and videos. Arguably the most frequent updater is Ian Poulter who keeps his fans updated with excellent insights into his life as a professional golfer, a really personal approach. Here is Ian Poulter's Twitter.

Tiger Woods has recently joined twitter but I can't see him interacting with his followers like Poulter does. Watch this space though...

Golf Course Finders

Whether you are new to golf or a 24/7/365 kind of guy, the lure of a new golf course is a tempting one. Golf course finder websites will search your local area or in fact any area you wish and give you details of local golf courses. For example, say I was holidaying in Hawaii and wanted a round of golf whilst there I could search for golf courses in the area, for instance, Honolulu. Then a list of courses would be at my mercy and ready for a humbling.

Waialae Country Club would have been in the search results. The course which hosts the PGA Tour's Sony Open annually and the scene of Michelle Wie's men's tournament debut where the media hype was phenomenal but the result was somewhat of a anti-climax.
